Week 2: Sintra, Cascais, beaches & itineraries

Six new guides this week, our first update since launch — this is what "at least weekly, sometimes more" looks like in practice. The focus this round was pulling two of the most-requested topics out of hub pages and giving them the full standalone treatment, plus a new page type: itineraries.

What's new

• Sintra day trip guide — previously just a section on the day-trips hub, now a full guide ranking the palaces, covering how to get between them, and answering the "how many can I actually see in a day" question honestly.
• Cascais day trip guide — same treatment for Cascais, including a straight comparison of when to choose it over Sintra.
• Lisbon's best beaches — new. Lisbon itself has no beach, so this covers the two coastlines that are actually reachable, and which one suits which kind of trip.
• Itineraries by day count — new page type. 2 days, 3 days, and 4 days in Lisbon, each a realistic day-by-day plan rather than a generic checklist.

Why we picked these first

Sintra and Cascais were the two most obvious gaps from launch — both got a paragraph inside the day-trips hub, which undersold how much there actually is to say about either one. Itineraries were the other clear gap: several existing pages already pointed toward "how many days do you need," but nothing answered it with an actual hour-by-hour plan.

What's coming next

Standalone guides for Óbidos and Arrábida are next, following the same pattern — pulling them out of the day-trips hub once there's enough to say about each.
