Awesome Lisbon is live, starting with under 30 pages across seven departments: Plan, Stay, Places, Things to Do, Food, Culture and this News section itself. That's a deliberately small opening — we'd rather publish a smaller set of guides we've actually fact-checked and are happy to put our name on, than launch with hundreds of thin, templated pages.

• Plan — a first-timer's guide, weather by month, airport transfers, and getting around the city.
• Stay — how to choose a neighbourhood, and how the hotel scene is laid out.
• Places — full guides to Alfama, Belém, and Baixa & Chiado, with more neighbourhoods to follow.
• Things to Do — Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, São Jorge Castle, LX Factory, and a full day-trips guide covering Sintra, Cascais, Óbidos and Arrábida.
• Food — a what-to-eat primer covering the dishes worth seeking out and how to avoid tourist-menu restaurants.
• Culture — a guide to fado music, Lisbon's most distinctive cultural export.

What's coming next

Every department is built to grow without changing its structure. Expect Places to expand fastest — more neighbourhoods, one honest guide at a time — followed by more entries under Things to Do and Food. We're publishing at least weekly, more often two or three times a week once the initial structure settles.

No paid placement, no sponsored rankings. Every guide is written to be genuinely useful to someone planning a real trip, checked against current information at the time of publishing, and revisited when something changes. If you spot an error or an out-of-date detail, the contact page is the fastest way to reach us.
